​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Altantic Centre, the Africa Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS), the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies (Marshall Center), and the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies (Perry Center) organized from 17 to 21 July 2023​ The Atlantic Partnership Seminar, which took place at the Fort of São Julião da Barra, in Lisbon.

The event brought together over 70 high-level participants from 19 countries of all parts of the Atlantic, with the aim of fostering discussion on the current threats and challenges in the Atlantic Ocean, promoting the development of platforms for cooperation among Atlantic states to enhance their human security and prosperity. The seminar included plenary presentations, panels and roundtables, as well breakout group discussions, under Chatham House Rules. 

A joint report or policy brief summarizing the main outcomes of the Seminar will be issued.​​
